Welcome to June 1st. I need to talk about something because it’s unavoidable. Y’all, today is the opening of two of most intolerable sign seasons. It’s the flaming shit show prior to the epic finale, Leo Season. (Yes, I am bias. Deal with it.)

If that didn’t send a small shock of hair raising terror down your body then either you are a June Gemini, Cancer or a really depressed Leo— or you think astrology is birthday bigotry. Either way, it is what it is.

But… you’re hear reading this…. So let’s 🌮 bout it.

All Geminis are AIR signs, ruled by Mercury. But there is one important factor that can set May Geminis and June Geminis apart — and that’s a concept known as decans.

Decans refer to three subdivisions that exist within each zodiac sign, each of which can change the way a sign’s energy is outwardly manifested.

Decans are based on degrees, so you can find your sign’s decan by looking up the degree of your sun sign in your birth chart. Because each sign spans 30 degrees on the zodiac wheel, the first 10 degrees of a sign is assigned to the first decan, the second 10 degrees comprise second decan, and the last 10 degrees make up the third decan. The sun travels approximately one degree per day, so this means that almost all May Geminis are first decan Geminis, while most June Geminis are either second or third decan Geminis.

If you’ve ever seen a Leo and a Gemini in the same room together, you might think they’re an odd couple. How could a quiet, sweet Gemini work with a boisterous and social Leo?

Well, they say that opposites attract, and in this case, that’s true. Leo-Gemini compatibility can really work out!

Leos are natural-born leaders who are ambitious. Ruled by the Sun, Leos have a lot of energy and passion — they make great friends and they’re real go-getters.

As the proud companion of a May Gemini, I’ll be the first to admit Leo-Gemini compatibility does hinge on a few key personality traits that June Geminis seem to lack. Let me remind you of my bias. There is only one June Gemini I’ve ever met that I can say I love, and he’s my father.

• Independence: Independence is a good thing for Leo and Gemini, but too much independence isn’t good for any relationship. Actually, if you leave it unchecked, fierce independence can make Leos feel insecure in this relationship. Commitment issues can happen with Leo-Gemini pairings, so it’s best for each partner to focus on the other person’s needs and really listen. 
• Opening up: Leos are pretty much an open book. Geminis, on the other hand, don’t love talking about their feels as much as their talkative partner. Leo needs to tread carefully and establish a lot of trust with their Gemini partner before they expect them to really open up. 
• Clashing hobbies: Gemini is one of the more cerebral signs of the zodiac. Leos aren’t stupid by any means, but they might not love the high-brow hobbies that Geminis enjoy, like museum visits or wine tastings. This couple will need to find ways to share time together in a way that both of them can enjoy.

So… why all the hate on June Geminis specifically?

Every zodiac has a negative side. Each one is disliked by others for a variance of different reasons. However, June Geminis are known for their intolerable behavior.

1- Most Geminis are not attentive listeners unless they have specifically worked on the skill. June Geminis however, cannot and will not listen to others properly. They also over-communicate with people in an aggressive manner which sometimes may create a problem.

2- They are two-faced. In a moment, they are sweet to others and the next moment they become very harsh. For being two-faced, they also like to do gossip about others who they hate the most. But won’t leave any chance to be nice to them. It’s like dealing with a Taurus.

3- Nothing can entertain a June Gemini for a long time. They get bored very easily and quickly. So, these people are always into making new plans for their entertainment. But it’s not possible to find a new source of fun every time.

4- The sense of humor of a June Gemini is really harsh. They often don’t understand the difference between a joke and an insult. Being the second born twin comes with the ugliness of jealousy and anger.

5- It’s very hard to understand their commitment towards anything. They are either too available or not available at all. There is no balance between these two.

As a Leo woman, I do not play well with others— but June Geminis, Cancers, Scorpios and Taurus are the bane of my existence.
