Create an emergency preparedness plan.
Thursday has us all looking towards the future. Personally, I make a pretty serious active effort in remaining grounded with the present. There are enough unanswered questions that are worthy of pondering already.
Admittedly, it isn’t uncommon for me to take concern in future matters. Usually it’s worry about my physically presentation verses the effect of time.
Being a woman of military past, emergencies live in my blood. Twenty years of ‘hurry up and go’ waits patiently at the base of my veins.
So what is an Emergency Plan?
There are multiple bloggers who have written brilliant exposes on the daily prompt page. Their words will transport you to a place of deeper knowledge, compared to whatever internet trash this is considered.
Here are the basic steps. Don’t worry, every emergency management and disaster relief pages are exactly the same. Hell, even interpersonal relations such as your current situationship apply….
- Prevention. Actions taken to avoid an incident. …
-What would you do in order to mitigate the introduction of an emergency?
Are there any precautionary actions, such as double checking that the oven is off, or that the gas line is wide open when you go to light the flat top.
How are you going to ensure that your significant other understand how deeply you care for them?
- Mitigation. …
Are the building codes up to date?
Are personal protective measures in place and in proper working order? (Fire extinguishers, AED, Ration packs.)
Do you communicate your true emotions and feelings while taking theirs into account? Do you openly express their individual importance as a priority?
- Preparedness. …
Do you have what you need?
Are you capable of providing the support and caring required for someone outside of yourself?
- Response. …
The act of responding to the emergency or disaster. Are you ready?
- Recovery.
Returning the situation to as nominal as possible.
Most humans execute this subconsciously. The phenomenon knows as ‘fight or flight’ is built into every living thing.
I, me, chef v- I am not going to create an emergency plan. I am at a point in my life that there is no plan to help me out of whatever emergency will be coming. Instead I have elected to just let life come at me, and we will do our best to keep our heads above water.
As always, thank you for spending a few minutes reading today. I appreciate the views, and hearing your thoughts.
Until tomorrow. Happy Thursday. 🍋💋
