Share one of the best gifts you’ve ever received.
In the gentle Sunday morning’s light,
Beneath the canopy of azure skies,
We gather, hearts aglow, to celebrate,
The gifts of adoption, wondrous and wise.
Amidst magnolias’ fragrant bloom,
Where azaleas dance in the breeze,
We marvel at the miracle of fate,
That brings souls together, with ease.
In this grand estate of life’s design,
Where destiny’s hand weaves its thread,
We find the beauty of adoption’s embrace,
And the chance at a life, anew, widespread.
For in the tapestry of existence,
There are threads not bound by blood,
But by love’s enduring persistence,
Guiding hearts, like a gentle flood.
Think of the child, once lost in despair,
Now cradled in love’s warm embrace,
Or the family, united in joy and care,
Their bond, a sanctuary, a sacred space.
So let us cherish this selfless gift,
In verses of gratitude, let us sing,
For through adoption’s radiant lift,
Hope and love are given a chance to spring.
In the midst of life’s grand procession,
There lies a journey, unique and profound,
For the adopted child, a path of reflection,
Where questions of identity abound.
Though embraced in love’s tender hold,
They may feel the weight of a silent query,
As they navigate a world, both new and old,
Seeking solace in a sense of clarity.
For the mirror may reflect a face unknown,
A heritage lost, a story untold,
Yet within their heart, a resilience is sown,
A strength to embrace the hand they hold.
So let us walk beside them, hand in hand,
In the warmth of love’s unwavering glow,
Guiding them through the shifting sands,
To a place where acceptance freely flows.
For in the tapestry of life’s grand design,
Each thread, though different, is a part,
And in the embrace of love divine,
We find the courage to embrace our heart.
As we bid farewell to this hallowed place,
Let hope’s resplendent light shine true,
Guiding us onward, in love’s embrace,
To a world where dreams anew.
The answer is a chance at a decent life because my parents are truly selfless folks.
It takes a special kind of person to show up at a hospital and instantly bond with a child. As horrible as it sounds, it’s the same process as adopting a dog. You just don’t pay your $300 and walk out with it… it’s a little more involved than that… regardless. THANK YOU FOR FINDING ME. I honestly do not say it enough. After all, they were the ones to help me find my blood family also.
A close second is the NKOTB Swatch I got on the last day of Hannukah in ‘96. I’ll forever be ya girl!
Happy Sunday Nerds- I Heart Y’all! 💃
