👺 地狱 🚫 苦境 🎃 南瓜

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

Single mother Tess Coleman and her teenage daughter Anna couldn’t be more different, and it is driving them both insane.

After receiving cryptic fortunes at a Chinese restaurant, the two wake up the next day to discover that they have somehow switched bodies. Unable to switch back, they are forced to masquerade as one another until a solution can be found. In the process, they develop a new sense of respect and understanding for one another.

2003’s Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsey Lohan really nailed the landing for this one.

FREAKY FRIDAY 2003

I could continue here about how incredibly middle class white girl the whole movie is- but nah.

Instead, let’s focus on the fact that this whole situation would be an absolute nightmare.

First, how dare anyone blasphe-mize the holiness of the fortune cookie. How low do we have to go people?

What did that folded dough and tiny slip of paper ever do to yall?? 🤔

Not to mention we thought it was okay to swap the sole of a complete train wreck with the legend Laurie Strode…

We won’t even touch on the whole Netflix concept behind Altered Carbon. YIKES!

Thanks, but no thanks. I’ll leave body swapping in California where it belongs. Right next to Men’s pearls, Parachute Pants and stabbing your face full of Botulism to remove wrinkles.

I have enough trouble managing my own self. There is no way I could function being someone else for a day, nor would I want to.

I like myself enough to deal with my problem.

Besides, I already am 2 people… thanks mom!
