Do you believe in fate/destiny?
Hold on…. Pause.
Question: How annoyed do you get when your parent or lover calls you by someone else’s name??
Yeah. It annoys the shit out of me too. Very clearly someone intentionally skirted by the actually historical facts in order to justify their grammatical laziness or misinterpretation of Greek legends…
Either way, the lines on the printed map surrounding Alaska does not dictate a fence and there is no backslash between fate/destiny.
Come here. Listen closely…
🐿️ this is the part where my Neurodivergence kicks in and I’m about to explain a whole lot of stuff that no one ever asked me to explain, before actually answering the question. 🐿️

Rooted in Greek Mythology, the Fates, also known as the Moirai, are three goddesses who personify destiny and preside over human life. The Fates are responsible for:
- A human’s lifespan
- The timing of their death
- Tracking down the sins of men and gods
- Punishing sinners
The Fates are the daughters of Nyx (Night) or Zeus and Themis (Law and Justice). They are sisters of the dark forces of the world, including: Blame, Sad Distress, Nemesis, Strife.
The Fates are often artistically depicted as beautiful maidens.

However, poets typically express the Fates as ugly and unwavering, representing the gravity of their role within the mythological and human worlds.
Aristotle imagined Klotho spinning out the present moment, Lachesis determining the future, and Atropos presiding over a past that cannot be changed.
In modern society, people often use the idea of fate to explain good and bad events. For example, some people believe that fate is a fixed, inevitable course that our lives follow. Others believe that fate is something that controls the future, but can be corrupted by the choices of others.
Some people believe that their lives are a combination of fate and choice. For example, they may believe that they don’t control where and to whom they’re born, but they may feel like they control more of what happens to them as they age. Others believe that their lives are predetermined by a higher power.
Some people believe that fate is the future scenario, which cannot be determined by decisions an individual will make. However, others believe that destiny is about the present, where every decision an individual has made has led them to their present scenario.
For me, I stand resolute, unwaveringly so,
Before the trio and their intricate weave aglow.
Despite the chaos, my faith remains clear,
I embrace the three sisters without fear.
Their silken strands, a labyrinth divine,
Threads of destiny intricately entwine.
In their grasp, my path they delineate,
Guiding me through fortune and fate.
Though chaos swirls and uncertainties loom,
Their presence brings solace, dispelling gloom.
For within their web of intricate strings,
I find assurance in the fate it brings.
With each twist and turn, their design unfolds,
A tapestry of life, in stories untold.
Though storms may rage and trials ensue,
My allegiance to the sisters I renew.
For in their wisdom, lies a timeless grace,
A guiding hand through every trial I face.
So, amidst the chaos, I stand tall and free,
Embracing the three sisters’ decree.
