What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

Solid Monday Question!

Sometimes, just sometimes I smirk and giggle at the fact that no one really reads this. Seriously. I could write some totally bullshit about my morning ritual. Let’s see how exactly I can explain this in only Annie fashion.(please sense sarcastic tone because I’m smirking and giggling right now.)

It’s usually not until I’m already vertical and attempting to wrestle the slightly sagging bedroom door open- (which entails basically projecting my entire body weight backwards) while dodging the dog. By this point, it’s been at least 9 hours since she went to bed and the child has to pee. I do too, but that is besides the point because the bathroom won’t be available to me until my other half is ready for work.

Once the door is open, Tuna bolts for the door, as only an Australian Shepard can. Inevitable, I’ll take a nail to the foot or a tail whip to the back of the calf at least twice while she circles waiting on my middle aged ass to open yet another door.

She bolts out and I drearily grab her bowl and saunter across the dining room to start the process of breakfast. Mind you, I’m completely rocking a pair of boy shorts and some assorted sweatshirt because I just woke up and I don’t fucking care.

Scoop of hard food then around the breakfast bar into the kitchen where I grab the soft food from the fridge. She’s only suppose to get a scoop… but she usually gets whatever I think looks good because ‘Chef OCD’. I then migrate back to the open door and chuck it rock sip style through the doggy door hole cut into my screen. I like to see if I can get it right next to her water dispenser. Tuna is a great audience, she sits like a pretty girl and watches this spectacle. Then she eats.

I turn the corner to the ‘Swamps of Dagobah. Then the feeding process for the 12 fish houses here. The Angelfish (Left Eye) must be fed opposite the female Halfmoon Beta (Spinderella) and everyone else can have free for all.

Yes, I’m well aware that all the fish people are going to be like OMGREEEEE THOSE BREEDS ARE BOTH AGRESSIVE AND TERRITORIAL!!! Yeah, I know. I’ve been told for the last year that they would kill each other. They each killed their mates so they could be together, FYI.

Then I grab the first Sprite of the day, resume my way back to my Jetty blanket in the bed and spend the next hour and fourth three minutes getting stoned and writing this blog.
