What sacrifices have you made in life?
“My flags be Gucci.“ – Chef V

Happy Friday, dear reader.
Starting off with a little brutal honesty, I am absolutely disgusted with the daily prompts over the past two days.
The clear boundary violations that have been required of each author in order to complete the prompt is a moral proposition this author refuses to sunder.
Is it not torture enough to already be judged on your genetic reproductive makeup?
Take a moment and ponder this with me. A Friday morning adventure, if you will…

Every morning, before I write I sit and I read through some of my fellow authors daily posts. I honestly want to see what the temperature of the “room” is before coming in and breaking y’all the fuck off.
The number one topic referred to in most responses is RELATIONSHIPS.
It is not surprising that relations are equated to sacrifice. Especially for those who have traumatic experiences.
Yet, what is not talked about is the sacrifice that is supposed to be made by both individuals in order to create and maintain one’s mental health in order to not punish your partner from residual traumas.
Take a moment and ask yourself, are you being completely open and honest with your partner and yourself?
If the answer is no, then trust me when I say you are only sacrificing yourself.
Your author is a once a child, twice divorced, and three times a domestic abuse survivor. She is also autistic, strong, and a certified life coach. A retired military veteran and personal chef. I’ve lived the life of a Seattle Debutant in the most unexpected way, out of society life and in the world doing what I chose to do.

The biggest sacrifice we make is not allowing ourselves to live and communicate our truths.

Without healing and being real to yourself will you stop sacrificing, and start living the life you were meant to have.
