📘📙MY BOOK REPORT 📕📗

Who is your favorite historical figure?

Nothing like a 5th grade book report to get the ol’ blood flowing…

Dearest Gentle Teacher,

Amelia Earhart was an amazing pilot who loved the sky more than your author loves trashy women on Bowling night.

Born on July 24, 1897, in Atchison, Kansas, she was a pioneer in aviation, which means she did things with airplanes that no one had done before, like crossing the Atlantic Ocean by herself. She even disappeared mysteriously while trying to fly around the world, which makes her story even more exciting and a bit like a real-life mystery novel!

Early Life

Amelia wasn’t your average kid. Instead of playing with dolls, she climbed trees, hunted rats with a rifle, and even built her own roller coaster. Her parents must have known it wouldn’t work to say, “Be careful, Amelia!” because she was adventurous from the start. Amelia was always fascinated by women who did cool things, and she wanted to be one of them. She saw her first plane at the age of 10, and even though it didn’t impress her much at the time, that would soon change.

Flying High

In 1920, Amelia took her first airplane ride, and it was like she found her new best friend. She decided then and there that she wanted to fly. After saving up money and taking lessons, she bought her first plane, which she named “The Canary” because it was bright yellow. Imagine flying around in a giant banana – that was Amelia!

Amelia Earhart quickly became a famous aviator. In 1928, she became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, but she was only a passenger. She described the experience as feeling like “a sack of potatoes.” Not satisfied with just being along for the ride, she made the solo trip in 1932. It was a rough flight with a broken altimeter and icy conditions, but she made it and became a hero.

Record Breaker

Amelia didn’t just sit back and enjoy her fame. She kept breaking records. She was the first woman to fly nonstop across the United States and the first person to fly solo from Hawaii to California. She made flying look as easy as riding a bike, but in the sky!

The Mysterious Disappearance

In 1937, Amelia decided to fly around the world. She took off with her navigator, Fred Noonan, in a plane called the Lockheed Electra. They made it most of the way, but on July 2, 1937, they disappeared over the Pacific Ocean. Despite many search efforts, they were never found. It’s one of the greatest mysteries in history. Some people think they crashed into the ocean, while others believe they landed on a deserted island. There are even theories about them being captured by aliens (okay, maybe not that one, but it would make a cool movie).

Conclusion

Amelia Earhart was a true pioneer who showed the world that women could do anything men could, even when it came to flying planes. She was brave, adventurous, and always ready to take on a new challenge. Her story is inspiring and a little bit like a cliffhanger, leaving everyone wondering what really happened. Even though Amelia Earhart disappeared, her legacy will keep flying high forever….

…and so will your author. Damn this smoke this morning is on point!

Whatever you’re doing today, remember…. You’re destined for better things than going missing in a plane and drowning in the ocean. You got this!!!💋
