What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?

Dearest Gentle Reader,

First and foremost, HAPPY FRIDAY! Yall make it through today and you’ve graduated to the weekend.

Today’s prompt sends us on a journey through the last year of our lives. Boy oh boy! Does this author have a few.

The biggest was saying farewell to Phoenix, Arizona and moving to Oregon.

Life in Phoenix was tumultuous, and depressing. When you’re as white as this author is, going outside in 100+ degree straight sunlight is like asking to get stage 4 Skin Cancer. The trees aren’t actual trees, and there are only 2 actual seasons. Plus, the people just suck.

So, this author packed up and took the 16 hour road trip to Oregon.

Arriving in early September the cool damp atmosphere was a major change. But life here has been just what the doctor has prescribed.

Instead of being broke, unemployed and desperately applying to almost anything as was the tale in Phoenix, Klamath Falls took a broken person and once again made them feel wanted and whole. This author is now employed in a position completely fitting of the ABA qualifications she holds, and she is finally happy.

The best part though… Tuna the dog is finally content!

2024 offered the opportunities that both 2022 and 2023 forgot about. ❤️
