Dyschronometria

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Dearest Gentle Reader,

First and foremost, Happy New Year. This author hopes the passing of 2024 has brought peace and happiness to yall.

The prompt today wants to know how this author thinks.

Pretty loaded question, but she shall bite! Neither. This author has a little something called ADHD.

One of the fun party favors associated deeply with this authors assigned super power is a Dyschronometria.

Living very much in the moment has always been comfortable. She can tell you things that have happened to her, but there is no exact time associated.

However- negotiated on some chemical level was the ability to constantly have night terrors.

You see, the most traumatic experiences in this authors brain are assigned to the dream department. This is where they have the freedom to replay leading to the author waking in an alternate reality. Until this author becomes consciously aware of their surroundings, the terror, anger and anxiety of the dream remain.

So… long story short. Neither.

Hopefully there will be another prompt that this author hasn’t answered in the very near future.
