Panic Prespective

Her heart is beating out of her chest.

Shes warm, but cold at the same time.

Her eyes burn from the tears,

What could it be now?

Another panic attack.

Unprompted and unprovoked.

Why can’t she function,

Like regular folks.

Embarrassed again,

Solitude defaced,

Another pit of personal shame

She gets to face.

Breath and try to sleep,

her depression deep.

For nothing but losses,

Have been aimed

directly into her face.

Sleep sweet girl.

Let exhaustion take hold.

You’ve fought valiantly enough for one day,

Try and find a small comfort to unfold.

A verse for the unforgiven

For their minds do not know

The power it takes

Each time they are forced back into these throws.

Gather your fading strength now

For soon it will be time to bow

Returning to battle

When the walls once again begin to rattle.

Breath child.

One.

Two.

Three.

Breath sweet child.

Stand up, you’ve still got two feet.
